How NSG Works. Membership in NSG provides with a way to cut your fuel bill drastically. Our Vermont fuel club gives you much lower pricing. Depending on fuel usage, you have the opportunity to save hundreds of dollars on your fuel bill in a single season, for a nominal membership fee of $39 per year!
We leverage the collective gallons of our members into negotiating power for a discount price structure based on our overall volume for:
- Propane
- Fuel Oil
- Kerosene
This group works to leverage the power of many individuals to achieve lower rates for all members of the group. How do we do it?
1) NSG negotiates price structure based on bulk volume. The rate negotiated between NSG and our fuel provider are lower than their retail prices. This is because the rates for NSG represent a large volume, based on our membership base of over 1000 Vermont households. NSG is currently working with one fuel supplier. 2) To become a member click here, or contact us for more information. Please allow two weeks from submission of registration for your membership to fully process on both ends. Our membership calendar runs from June 1 to May 31.
3) Once you become a member we will notify the fuel company with we work of your membership status. As mentioned, please allow two weeks for registration to process. You can then be in touch with the supplier to become a customer.
- If you are currently a customer of the supplier, your price structure will automatically revert to the NSG group rate. There is nothing more you need to do.
- If you are not an existing customer of our supplier, after we inform them of your membership you can call them directly to set up your account. The process to switch companies is simple. For more information on this process please refer to our FAQ page.
